资源简介:
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic and relapsing multifactorial inflammatory skin disease caused by a variety of factors. Changes in oral and gut microbiota are associated with various diseases, including human AD. Dogs are also suffered from AD. However, oral and gut microbiota associated with AD has not been studied in the dogs. Shiba Inu dog breed is a monument breed in Japan, and is known as a predisposing breed for AD. In our previous study, the age-related microbiota analysis using the limited number of dogs selected from a purebred colony has produces the sufficient data with statistical significance to claim scientific findings. In this study, investigated AD-associated oral and gut microbiota, using 16 healthy control and 9 AD dogs selected from a dog colony of purebred Shiba Inu breed.
