Additional file 9: Supplementary Table 8. Real-Time RT-PCR experiments performed on 6 subjects with Down syndrome (A5; A6; A7; A8; A9; A10) and 6 normal controls (B5; B6; B7; B8; B9; B10). The tables on the left report the mean of cycles (Cq mean) for the five genes selected and for the reference gene (GAPDH), the difference of Cq means among the gene and GAPDH gene (∆Cq) and finally the relative expression values of the gene vs GAPDH gene obtained through the 2-∆Ct method (2-∆Ct) for each subject. The presence of strong outliers in the expression values of each gene is reported in red in tables on the left. The following is reported in the tables on the right: mean gene expression values (Mean); standard deviation (S.D.); and ratio between DS and N mean gene expression values (Ratio DS/N) after the exclusion of strong outliers.
