Detection and comparison of the spectrum of representatives of the order of Saprolegniales in Baikal sponges and on external covers of fishes in the conditions of the aquarium exposition and in Lake Baikal was carried out. The same spectrum of species in fish and Baikal sponges in an aquarium exposure and the presence of sponges from Lake Baikal of a species close to Leptolegnia chapmanii parasitizing insect larvae are established.
