In order to analyze the sediment exchange process
between the North Yellow Sea and the South Yellow Sea in winter, the
current field and sediment concentration in the sorthern part of Chengshantou, a representative
area of the Yellow Sea, were observed in winter. The results show that in the
north of Chengshantou sea area in winter, the current velocity does not change with the water
depth when the water depth is more than 20 m, and the variation range is less than 5 cm/s, and the
tides are regular semi-diurnal tides. The resuspension of sediments in the sea area is not controlled
by the current velocity, but the sediment transport per unit width is mainly affected by the current
velocity.
