Waveguide Dual Bandpass Filter

The article discusses the synthesis of a dual-band bandpass quasi-elliptical waveguide filter of the fourth order. The synthesized filter is designed to operate in the 5-8 GHz frequency range, using the WR-137 waveguide. The developed computer model of a waveguide filter consists of two connected and curved low- and high-pass filters with zero transmittance in their amplitude-frequency response. The width of the first bandwidth is 5.44\u20135.89 GHz and the second is 6.52\u20136.95 GHz, respectively. The paper shows a comparison of the frequency response results of a manufactured prototype with a synthesized computer model in the CST Studio software package.
