As equipment in aerospace and related fields becomes larger, lighter, and more precise, structural modes become increasingly dense. Low-frequency vibration problems become more prominent and seriously affect equipment safety, reliability, and operational stability. Vibration absorption technology suppresses vibration at target frequencies by attaching an absorber to the primary structure and tuning its parameters. It has been widely used in engineering applications because it does not change the stiffness of the primary structure. This paper reviews recent research progress and development trends in low-frequency broadband vibration absorption technologies. It highlights the current state of passive absorbers, tunable vibration absorbers, and nonlinear energy sinks. It also summarizes and compares absorber parameter optimization methods and design criteria. Finally, this paper discusses future development trends in low-frequency broadband vibration absorption. It provides theoretical references and technical support for vibration suppression in high-end equipment.
