"Advantaged or merely visible? Resources and socioeconomic inequality by sexual orientation in Chile. Reproducibility materials"

Using the CASEN 2022 household survey (n = 90,761 adults with a valid sexual-orientation response; 1,972 identifying as sexually diverse), the study estimates socioeconomic disparities by sexual orientation across four domains (labor income, informality, private health insurance, and years of schooling), assesses their robustness, and tests whether they form a common socioeconomic dimension. The analysis combines design-based weightedregression, a Heckman selection model, a latent-factor structural equation model, and a Bayesian multivariate multilevel model, together with sensitivity analyses by marital status, age restriction, and item nonresponse. The central interpretation, **resource-conditioned visibility**, is tested in-sample through an analysis of who does not disclose their orientation.
