资源简介:
The aim of the scientific activity was to conduct milling research of four different composite materials reinforced with glass and carbon fiber. The tested materials were polymer composites reinforced with glass fibers (GFRP) with the trade names EGL/EL 3200-120 and HexPly 916G-7781 and polymer composites reinforced with carbon fibers (CFRP) with the trade names HexPly AG193PW-3501 and 913 c-HTA. The values of the feed force for each of the tested materials were determined depending on the changing parameters during milling with tools with polycrystalline diamond (PCD) inserts, with titanium nitride-coated cemented carbide inserts (F40M) and uncoated ground cemented carbide inserts (H15). After machining, the obtained surfaces were subjected to roughness research and analysis using SEM scanning microscopy.Scientific activities were aimed at gaining knowledge and enabled the verification of the adopted methodology. This study allowed for an effective and specific determination of the machinability of polymer composites. The obtained research results allowed to conclude that the lowest values of the maximum feed force were obtained during milling of the polymer composite with glass fibers using tools with a polycrystalline diamond (PCD) insert. The best machining results in terms of roughness values were obtained after machining polymer composites with glass fibers. Milling was carried out on the AVIA VMC 800HS machining center. Roughness measurements were carried out using a T8000RC 120-140 device from Hommel-Etamic. Structure analyzes after processing were performed using a high-resolution scanning electron-ion microscope Quanta 3D FEG.The data deposited in the repository were saved in *.csv, *.ods and *.tif formats. The data included relate to changes in feed, cutting speed, type of composite material, type of tool and their impact on the maximum values of feed force and surface roughness. Each attachment with data also contains a detailed description in the form of a "README" file, which presents the content of the data. The research was carried out under the MINIATURA 6 grant program No. 2022/06/X/ST8/00572.
