Feminism and Film/TV Collection

The Feminism and film and television collection is a group of materials that discuss feminism within film and television. This includes items about films and television shows that are analysed from a feminist perspective or productions made as a feminist statement. The collection highlights the directors, actors, writers, producers, and scholars who are important to the overall critical discourse on feminism within film and television, and holds materials relevant to this field of study. The collection has been created and maintained at the AFI Research Collection due to this subject being of very high importance to film and television scholars, and to the public in general since the early 1970s. The types of items held within the collection include books, journal articles and clippings files.
