Data for an analysis of EPA's proposed biofuel policy by the Trump Administration. Congress and the Trump administration are trying to address rising imports with preferences for North American fuels and feedstocks in tax policy and penalties for imports in the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed standards for 2026 and 2027 under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). But the fatal flaw in the RFS proposal is that it ignores any realistic assessment of how much domestic feedstock is available for fuel production, proposing volumes that far exceed domestic feedstock availability.
