Spatial data of soil related microplastic case and field studies

The dataset stored within this repository contains the data of a literature review dealing with the spatial reference, sampling approaches and reported soil context of recent studies focusing on microplastic evidence in soils worldwide (case and field studies).

The data were selected through a literature query via Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics, search terms "microplastic" + "soil") and subsequent evaluation and includes, in addition to the papers analyzed (35 papers, 2016-03/2022), the questionnaire applied (metadata) and the corresponding responses. 

The OMSP.xlsx datset includes three tables: 1) number of papers according to search terms by year (2016-03/2022); 2) responces to the questionnaire; 3) questionnaire (metadata).

The OMSP.csv dataset includes only the related papers (e.g., DOI identifier) and responces to the questionnaire.
