Baseline Gut Microbiome Diversity Correlates with Immune Responses in People with HIV Receiving N-803

This study aimed to determine the relationship between the gut microbiome and immune responses in people with HIV undergoing treatment with N-803, an IL-15 superagonist. We collected longitudinal fecal samples from participants receiving N-803 to characterize their gut microbiome through shotgun metagenomic sequencing. The primary goal was to assess whether baseline microbiome diversity or composition could predict activation of CD8 and NK cell markers following immunotherapy.
