Bombyx mandarina is the wild species of the domesticated silkworm, Bombyx mori. We established a semi-pure line of B. mandarina, which derived from a female moth captured 30 years ago at Sakado, Japan. We attempted to build a chromosome-scale genome assembly of the above-mentioned strain ("Sakado" strain) of B. mandarina. In this project, we performed long-read sequencing, optical genome mapping and HiC-sequencing.
