Cup-marked stone, Zermatt-Hubelwäng, Switzerland

Cup-marked stone in the Matter valley near Zermatt, Switzerland (for a map see http://goo.gl/LbrI1i). Recorded in April 2016. The flat quartzite slab ist situated next to the hiking trail from Herbrigg to Zmutt at around 2000 m ASL with a panoramic view including the Matterhorn.

Measuring ca. 4.8 x 3 m, the stone shows prehistoric cup marks and symbolic petroglyphs as well as modern initials and the date 1762. See https://skfb.ly/68RqY for a Matcap rendering which brings out the petroglyphs a lot better than the textured model.
