Hospital Chargemaster Data

**Overview** FinThrive’s Hospital Chargemaster Dataset contains rich information regarding all services, procedures, supplies and drugs administered to a patient during a health system owned facility visit. While the chargemaster data is the starting point for a claim, the rules related to billing and coding limit what makes its way into the claim submitted to the payer. Consequently, chargemaster data provides greater specificity than other RWD sources and contains information on all the drugs and devices provided during a patient’s hospital visit. The data source are hospitals leveraging FinThrive’s revenue management technology which are primarily large 300+ bed acute care facilities; which provides a high concentration of encounters for oncology, cardiology, radiology, emergency medicine and rare disease. In total, FinThrive captures information from over 500 sites, with an above average distribution of urban hospitals and teaching facilities across 44 states. Data is available weekly with a 7 day lag, and averages approximately 97 million annual encounters across 26 million unique patients per year. All datasets are compliant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect patient privacy and FinThrive is token agnostic meaning we work with most major tokenization vendors or can use our own proprietary FinThrive token. **Use cases** *Life Sciences Commercialization* - To understand which clinicians treat certain conditions as well as the drugs they administer.
