VPRS 10705 Court of Petty Sessions/Magistrates' Court Register of Offences Against Liquor Licensing Laws

The register comprises a records of proceedings concerning offences against liquor licensing acts such as Act 3717 (1929), An Act to consolidate laws related to the Licensing of Public Houses and the Sale of Fermented and Spiritous Liquors, and previous and subsequent acts.A few examples of the types of offences recorded in the register were: selling liquor after hours, selling liquor on a Sunday, buying liquor after hours, selling liquor on unlicensed premises and selling liquor without a licence.Cases of a similar nature prior to 1921 may be found in VPRS 1665 City Court Register (although this has not been researched).
