U.S. Oil & Gas Reference & Drilling-Activity Data: Helium by Field, State Severance Tax & Deduction Rules, and Operator/County Activity

Open datasets Buckhead Energy maintains and serves for U.S. oil & gas mineral and royalty owners, published so the figures can be cited with a permanent identifier. The concept DOI always resolves to the latest version. v2.0.0 adds two nationwide drilling-activity tables to the v1 static reference tables: 1. U.S. Helium Content by Field (16 records) — reported helium concentration (mole %) by U.S. field/province, with region, counties, occurrence type, and status. 2. State Severance Tax & Post-Production Deduction Rules (24 states) — severance/production tax summaries, the post-production cost-deduction framework (at-the-well vs. marketable-product), and the leading judicial authority per state. 3. U.S. Operator Leaderboard (national top 100) — the most active U.S. operators by wells on record, with producing wells, 24-month permits, DUCs, state footprint, and top formation, from a monthly refresh of state-regulator data. 4. U.S. Operator-by-County Activity Roll-up (3,188 rows) — one row per materially-active operator × county pair, with wells, producing wells, 24-month permits/spuds, DUCs, top formation, and in-county rank. All tables as CSV (plus JSON for the two reference tables) with a README data descriptor.
