UK Residential Housing Tenure is The Ark’s modelled dataset providing residential tenure estimates at individual household / address level for over 29m UK residential addresses.

The dataset is highly accurate and is a subset of The Ark’s UK Household File including ONS survey data and other data sources. The tenure model provides a robust, consistent and statistically reliable source of residential tenure data for the whole of mainland UK.

Each address is supplied with a percentage likelihood across 5 tenure categories-

Households Owning Their Property Outright
Households Owning Their Property With A Mortgage
Households Renting Their Property From Council
Households Renting Their Property From Social Housing Provider
Households Renting Their Property Privately or Rent-free

UK Residential Housing Tenure can be used to understand the tenure of households across mainland UK to support decision making such as offering services appropriate to the tenure of a household.
