资源简介:
This data publication contains rainfall, maximum and minimum temperature climatic scenario (2041-2060) maps for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Specifically, maps show a scenario of changes in daily maximum and daily maximum temperature above the historical baseline (1986-2005) and changes in rainfall by percentage. This package includes: 1) both Spanish and Engligh maps for the rainfall, minimum, and maximum temperature scenario (PNG format); and (2) a geographical database (geodatabase) with the raster and vector layers used to develop these maps. The geodatabase includes 2041-2060 Centre National de Recherches Meteorologiques-CERFACS (CNRM) projections for rainfall (precipitation) as a percentage as well as minimum and maximum temperatures in both degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit. It also includes hillshades for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as the boundaries of the U.S. counties in these areas.
The Caribbean Climate Hub developed these maps for several publications such as adaptation workbooks and educational modules. These maps are intended to bring meaningful information regarding the possible implications of rainfall and temperature changes in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
For applications of these maps, see: Guzmán-Colón et. al (2024) and Crespo-Acevedo (2024).
For more information about the source data and downscaled model used, see Bowden et al. (2018, 2020).
