Risk of Mortality and Life-years Lost following Somatic Comorbidity in People with Pre-existing Severe Mental Illnesses: A National Cohort Study of Hospitalized Individuals in Czechia

The aim of the current study is to investigate the risk of mortality and loss of life-years in people with severe mental illness who developed subsequent physical health conditions, when compared with matched counterparts who had the same physical health condition but no recorded history of severe mental illness. We hypothesize that people with pre-existing severe mental illness will have increased risk of mortality as well as larger losses of life-years following the onset of physical health conditions than their matched counterparts.

本研究旨在探讨患有严重精神疾病且随后出现身体健康状况的人群，与仅患有相同身体健康状况但无严重精神疾病病史的匹配对照者相比，其死亡风险及生命年损失的风险。我们假设，患有既往严重精神疾病的人群在身体健康状况出现后，其死亡风险及生命年损失的风险将高于其匹配对照者。
