The study investigates the etiology of Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) in pediatric patients with quiescent Crohn's disease, hypothesizing that differences in microbiota and immunologic response may be associated with IDA. Utilizing cross-sectional, descriptive, and analytical study designs, stool samples from 143 patients stored in the Jill Roberts Institute Live Cell Bank were evaluated through 16S microbiome analysis and Shotgun Metagenomics.
