Attitudes of young Europeans towards the European Union.<br>Topics: most important values; fields of action to be prioritized by the EU in the next five years; benefits from the EU membership; preferred statement with regard to the European Union: respondent is in favour of the European Union and the way it is working at present, respondent is rather in favour of the European Union but not the way it is working at present, respondent is rather sceptical of the European Union but would be ready to change the opinion if the way it works was really changed, respondent is opposed to the idea of the European Union in general; image of the European Parliament; personal identification: primarily attached to local community and region, primarily attached to own country and national identity, primarily attached to Europe and European identity, equally attached to local community as well as to own country and Europe, no strong attachment to local community as well as to own country and Europe; preferred sources of information on political and social issues; preferred social media channels on political and social issues; self-rated understanding of: local / regional government, national government, European Union; personal exposure to disinformation and fake news in the last week; confidence in personal ability to recognize disinformation; use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based applications for text, image or video in the last twelve months; purposes of using AI based applications in the last twelve months: assistance in schoolwork, studying and research, entertainment, creative work, tasks at work, personal organisation and productivity, communication and language translation, other; personal political activities in the past: vote in the last election, contact a politician about an issue, volunteer for a charity or campaign organisation, boycott or buy certain products for political or ethical or environmental reasons, take part in street protests or demonstrations, create or sign a petition, join youth organisation, take part in a public consultation, post opinions online or on social media about a political or social issue, use hashtags or change personal profile picture to show support for a political or social issue, none of these; reasons for: not contacting a politician, not volunteering for a charity or campaign organisation, not voting in the last European elections; reasons for voting for a specific party in the last European elections. Demography: age; sex; nationality; current type of education; highest completed level of full time education; occupation; professional position; household composition and household size; type of community; region. Additionally coded was: respondent ID; country; device used for interview; language of the interview; nation group; weighting factor.
