资源简介:
The aim of the study was a comprehensive assessment of the drug susceptibility profile of Staphylococcus aureus strains, including an evaluation of the concordance between the phenotypic resistance to clinically most important antimicrobial agents and the genotypic profile (the presence of antibiotic resistance genes), with particular emphasis on determining the frequency of S. aureus strains carrying so-called silent antibiotic resistance genes. In the second stage of the analysis, the study focused on sequencing the silent resistance genes to identify potential mutations that could prevent their expression. The data include results from sequencing of the silent mupA gene (both raw and processed data), as well as a dataset on drug susceptibility for all tested isolates. The files were deposited in txt, xlsx, and ABI formats. The software required to open these files includes a text editor (Notepad), a spreadsheet editor (Excel Viewer 2.0), and software for viewing Sanger sequencing data (FinchTV). Detailed information about the software necessary for opening and analyzing the files is provided in the accompanying documentation.
