VPRS 17580 Women's and Children's Health Quality of Care Reports

This series comprises the Women's and Children's Health Quality of Care Reports, 2001 to 2004.The Women's and Children's Health Care Network was formed from the merger of the Royal Women's Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital, and was one of seven (later more) Health Care Networks for the 35 independent hospitals in Melbourne, established by the Kennett Government under the Health Services (Metropolitan Hospitals) Act 1995.On 1 July 2000 The Women's and Children's Health Care Network was replaced by the new legal entity Women's and Children's Health, after the 1999 Ministerial Review of Health Care Networks recommended a new governance and management structure for metropolitan hospitals.The role of this publication, as cited in 2001, was to provide information on the quality of clinical services in our three hospitals: Royal Children's (RCH), the Royal Women's (RWH), and Women's and Children's Sunshine.The first edition of this report produced by the Board of Management's Quality Committee, held combined data for both hospitals. The next three editions, 2002 to 2004, comprised separate versions published for both The Royal Women's Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital. After 2004 The Royal Women's Hospital and Royal Children's Hospitals became stand alone health care services and therefore had totally separate reporting structures.
