Thames Foreshore Log Pipe

A log that has been bored to create a pipe, located on the Thames foreshore just east of Southwark Bridge on the south bank, London. According to Thames Discovery Programme: "These were common in London in the 16th & 17th centuries. They were replaced by ceramic and later iron pipes.
