Human gut microbiota in young children

Here we sequenced the gut microbiota from young children, followed from 1 week up to the age of 2 years, including their mothers. The children were divided i two groups, depending on if they got diagnosed with asthma at 20 years of age or not. Both groups had double heredity, so genetically they had the same risk to develop allergic asthma and we wanted to know if the early-life microbiota could be of importance.
