This article offers an interdisciplinary analysis of non-traditional family unions throughout human history, examining forms that extend beyond the monogamous heterosexual norm. Various types of these unions are discussed, including same-sex relationships (e.g., Emperor Nero and Sporus, Emperor Elagabalus and Hierocles, Queen Christina of Sweden and Countess Ebba Sparre, and the "Two-Spirit" concept among indigenous peoples), polygamous marriages, and age-disparate unions. The article explores the historical context and societal perception of these unions, as well as their evolution influenced by social, economic, political, and cultural factors. Special attention is given to the <b>discussions prevalent at the close of the 20th century</b> regarding the <b>potential</b> legalization of same-sex marriages, LGBTQ+ rights, child-rearing within non-traditional families, and the divergent religious and secular approaches to sexuality. Furthermore, the article delves into futuristic and philosophical contemplations on the future of marriage, the commercialization of human reproduction, and the potential transformation of human nature, while also critiquing outdated notions of sexual orientation. It emphasizes that the concept of "sin" is socially constructed and advocates for the importance of freedom of expression online. <b>It is particularly stressed that any manifestation of hatred, fanaticism, or discrimination leading to violence, murder, or assault is unacceptable and must be prosecuted by law, as legal principles supersede outdated traditions and religious dogmas.</b> Based on the author's arguments and existing practices, the article formulates arguments for and against expanding the definition of marriage, considering social, genetic, and legal aspects, including inheritance and protection upon the dissolution of such unions.
