资源简介:
This dataset is comprised of 81 strontium isotopic measurements. It includes the results of the analyses performed on 21 human tooth enamel samples from 17 different individuals buried at Gumelnița, Romania. This site belongs to the Kodjadermen-Gumelnița-Karonovo VI (KGK VI) archaeological “culture”, which existed during the second half of the fifth millennium BC in the northern Balkans. In addition, 87Sr/86Sr values of 60 plant samples from 20 different locations (15 in Romania and 5 in Bulgaria; 3 different samples were collected at each location) are included in this set to create a bioavailable strontium (BASr) baseline of the region. Our dataset represents one of the first studies to accurately investigate individual mobility during this crucial period of Eastern European Prehistory, as well as the first attempt to create a BASr baseline in the Lower Danube River Valley.
