Transcriptional analysis comparing the transcriptomes of crown and base developing xylems from adult pine trees. Molecular factors responsible of wood properties can be identified with this strategy. Two-condition experiment Crown Differentiating Xylem vs. Base Differentiating Xylem. Biological replicates: 3 crown xylem, 3 base xylew, harvested from three different individual pine trees. Two technical replicates per array (A and Z). Two pairs of crown and base xylem RNA samples were labeled in the same way (crown xylem with Cy3 and base xylem with Cy5), while for labelling of the third pair dye-swap was performed (crown xylem labelled with Cy5 and base xylem with Cy3)
