Dataset For: Highly Conserved Mitochondrial Genomes among Multicellular Red Algae of the Florideophyceae

This dataset includes mtDNA sequences, accession numbers, and collection information for 11 mitochondrial genomes from 5 florideophycean subclasses in support of a study of red algal phylogenetic relationships and organelle evolution. Nine red algal species were collected from the field and two species obtained from culture collections.
