Many catabolic pathways begin with an ATP-requiring activation step, after which further metabolism yields a surplus of ATP. Such a 'turbo' principle is useful but also contains an inherent risk. This is illustrated by a detailed kinetic analysis of glycolysis in a Saccharomyces cerevisiae mutant. The model has been converted to GPML using the PathSBML plugin from PathVIsio, importing the model BIOMD0000000253 from the BioModels Database directly. The layout has been improved manually.
众多分解代谢途径均以一个需ATP激活步骤起始,此后进一步的代谢过程产生ATP的过剩。此‘涡轮增压’原理虽有益处,亦蕴含内在风险。此观点通过Saccharomyces cerevisiae突变体中糖酵解的详细动力学分析得到阐释。该模型已利用PathVIsio插件中的PathSBML功能转换为GPML格式,并直接从BioModels数据库导入模型BIOMD0000000253。布局已手动优化。
