资源简介:

To assess farmers' willingness to adopt solar-powered drip irrigation systems, a survey was administered to a sample of 141 farmers randomly selected from Union Council Ganj, Chakri, District Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The survey instrument captured data on various factors hypothesized to influence adoption decisions, including: Socioeconomic characteristics: Age, status within the family, agriculture as a primary source of income. Farm attributes: Number of land parcels, ownership status of land, depth of water. Knowledge and access to technology: Knowledge of how to use solar-driven drip irrigation systems. External influences: Demonstration effect on adoption (observing others using the system), influence of government subsidies on adoption. This data collection approach allows for a statistically robust analysis using a logit model to identify the key drivers influencing farmers' adoption decisions. The findings can be directly used by policymakers and agricultural extension services to develop targeted interventions promoting the widespread use of these water and energy-saving irrigation technologies. This Stata do-file contains the commands used to replicate the research findings presented in this paper.
