Montana CWAIC 2022/2024

This dataset includes rivers, streams and waterbodies listed in Montana's 305(b)/303(d) Integrated Water Quality Report for the year noted in this map layer's CYCLE attribute. The report lists waters which have been assessed as fully supporting all applicable beneficial uses, waters determined to be water quality impaired for one or more beneficial uses, and waters where the information collected to date is not sufficient to complete beneficial use support determinations. The 303(d) List, required by the federal Clean Water Act, focuses on waters in the state which have been assessed as having one or more of their beneficial uses impaired by human-caused pollutants/pollution. The geometry for each Assessment Unit stream in this dataset is based on the 1:24,000 High Resolution NHD. Data set is appropriate for 1:24,000 scale uses.
