Clinical and demographic data for a South African cohort of adults with Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection

We here present the metadata and other supporting material for a prospectively recruited clinical cohort of adults with HBV infection, with and without coexisting HIV infection, recruited in Tygerberg Hospital, Cape Town, South Africa over a period of 1 year commencing July 2018. <br>Ethics approval was provided by University of Oxford Tropical Research Ethics Committee (ref. OXTREC 01-18), and University of Stellenbosch Ethics Committee (ref. N17/01/013).
