The dataset consists of transcripts from ten semi-structured interviews conducted with French-speaking food influencers. These interviews, numbered from 1 to 10, were designed to complement a corpus of posts collected daily on Instagram and TikTok during two collection periods, relating to the same themes. The aim of this approach was to explore the role and activity of food influencers beyond their online presence alone: to understand how they build and maintain their activity in a digital ecosystem shaped by economic, social, and cultural factors, and how they define themselves as actors. The interviews thus aimed to shed light on their relationships with platforms, subscribers, advertisers, and other intermediaries, while highlighting the values and lifestyles they seek to convey through their content. In order to ensure compliance with ethical principles and participant confidentiality, all data has been anonymized. In accordance with the recommendations of Emmanuelle Zolesio (2011) and using the tool developed by Baptiste Coulmont (https://coulmont.com/bac/), the first names of the respondents were replaced by first names with similar sociological characteristics. No real pseudonyms were retained. In addition, when the combination of several variables could have indirectly identified a person, data permutation or generalization techniques were applied. All interviews were thus processed in such a way as to protect the identity and privacy of the participants.
