AMEPD Article Data

The data consist of a random samples of various sizes ($n=150, 200, 500, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000$) are generated from a population distributed as the AMEPD and another set distributed as that of Gomez, et al. (1998) in order to assess the effectiveness of our distribution. For both distributions, the random samples are generated with dispersion matrix $\Sigma={\bf I}_2$ and $\mu=(0, 0)^T$, and for some values of the shape parameter, $q$.
Again, a sample data found in IBM SPSS 27 (which may also be obtained from edmunds.com) is used. This data involves 11 variables comprising the sales, prices, and physical specifications of various makes and models of vehicles. For the purpose of this illustration, data on the six (6) of the variables have been extracted. These are Price, Horspower (Hpower), Wheelbase (Wbase), Curb Weight (C.Weight), Fuel Capacity (F.Cap) and Fuel Efficiency(F. Eff)) with 153 observations. The mean vector and variance-covariance matrix of the data are used to generate similar dataset from AMEPD and MEPD distributions.
