E2F family transcription factors are believed to play an important role in cell cycle progression, especially during G1 to S phase transition. Arabidopsis genome encodes three members of E2F proteins, E2FA, E2FB, and E2FC. Considering functional overlap between these E2F members, we generated triple e2fabc mutants to evaluate the role of E2F transcription factors in Arabidopsis. For genome-wide identification of their downstream target genes, transcriptomes of e2fabc mutants were compared with that of wild type plants.
