Topics covered in this survey include whether Australia should declare itself a republic; approval or disapproval of retaining the Queen as Head of State; which of the State Premiers is the most effective and whether approve disapprove of way the Premier of the State is handling his job; whether the interval between elections should remain at three years or some other length; whether there should be a law preventing the calling of early elections; whether the Federal Government is right or wrong in encouraging the sale of Australian uranium overseas; whether the Australian Labor Party will eventually support the export of uranium; whether to-days advertising is more helpful than it was five years ago; and whether any advertisement or commercial has been misleading in the past two years. Background variables include occupation of self and head of household, whether respondent assists employer in purchase decisions, marital status, education, age, sex, voting enrolment, vote intention, economic classification, gross income, and phone ownership.
