OKLR Daily Temperature Data for South Korea (270 m, 2024)
收藏资源简介:
## Description This dataset provides high-resolution (270 m) daily mean air temperature grids for mainland South Korea for the entire year of 2024 (366 days). The grids were generated using Ordinary Kriging with Lapse Rate correction (OKLR) by integrating observations from 90 ASOS (Automated Surface Observing System) and up to 474 AMOS (Automatic Mountain Observation System) stations operated by the Korea Meteorological Administration. ## Methodology Temperature interpolation was performed using OKLR, which incorporates topographic effects through elevation-based lapse rate corrections. This approach significantly improves temperature prediction accuracy in South Korea's mountainous terrain compared to standard kriging methods. ## Files Included - Daily temperature grids in GeoTIFF format (366 files) - File naming convention: `YYYYMMDD.tif` (e.g., `20240101.tif`) - All files compressed in `elevation_ok_tif_fn.zip` ## Technical Specifications - **Spatial coverage**: South Korea mainland (excluding islands) - **Temporal coverage**: 2024-01-01 to 2024-12-31 (366 days) - **Spatial resolution**: 270 m × 270 m - **Coordinate system**: WGS84 / UTM Zone 52N (EPSG:32652) - **Unit**: Degree Celsius (°C) - **Data type**: Float32 ## Usage Notes This dataset is intended for **academic and non-commercial research purposes**.
