WIP currently powers two of the 3 largest multinational retailers, many mid-sized retailers, and some large restaurant chains and has successfully improved the accuracy of these customers' existing demand forecasts by 8-15%. In total, we support almost 40,000 store locations and almost 12,000 unique product SKUs. WIP works by correlating historical weather data with a customer’s historical transaction data to generate insights related to historical impacts which are presented in an easily consumable dashboard that allows you to drill down directly to individual stores, districts, service areas, etc., and ask “what-if” questions by product or by weather. WIP also includes the ability to understand product demand in advance of inclement weather or the impact of unexpected or anomalous weather. WIP generates demand forecasts with predictions down to the SKU and store level and WIP can handle any organizational or product hierarchy, promotions, discounts, and more going out 14 days, 46 days, and even up to one-year trends. WIP is modular, in the sense that you don’t need to use our models as customers can bring in their own models and just use the dashboard functionality, or any of the insights are easily exported into internal models via the WIP API and can be used as an augmenting input for existing demand models.
