A tale of two lineages: comparative biogeography of two South American lineages of Carex (Cyperaceae)

Given that both Carex sect. Bracteosellae and the Carex phalaroides group share equivalent geographic distributions throughout South America we conducted phylogenomic, niche, and biogeographical analyses with the aim to elucidate their evolutionary history and contrast their biogeographic history against the main geoclimatic processes that have shaped the current environmental features of the Southern Cone.
