资源简介:

This is the dataset to support our paper title of "Interannual Variability in Marine Isoprene Emissions Modulated by ENSO Dynamics”. ENSO, as the dominant mode of interannual air-sea variability, modulates sea surface temperature (SST), ocean circulation, and nutrient supply, thereby influencing atmospheric circulation, marine productivity, and the release of marine biogenic volatile organic compounds. However, it remains unclear how ENSO drives interannual variations of marine isoprene emissions due to limited emission dataset and parameterization model. In this case, a long-term (1950-2020) global dataset of marine isoprene emission from phytoplankton-generated biological process (BIO) and sea surface microlayer (SML) is developed using an advanced emission parameterization model combined with reconstructed sea surface chlorophyll-a concentration data by U-Net convolutional neural network. It provides key support for understanding of the regulatory mechanism of ENSO on interannual scale. The dataset is provided as a ZIP file containing 71 NetCDF (.nc) files, covering the period from January 1950 to December 2020. Each NetCDF file includes longitude and latitude information (0–359.75°E, 60°S–60°N), and stores monthly data of BIO and SML isoprene emissions for the corresponding year. The variables are named flux_bio_monthly and flux_sml_monthly. The data have a spatial resolution of 0.25° × 0.25°, with units of g grid⁻¹.
