Posttraumatic growth and factors in adolescent and young adult cancer survivors: a scoping review

A significant body of literature acknowledges cancer as a profoundly traumatic event can also trigger positive psychological transformation, termed post-traumatic growth (PTG). This phenomenon is especially pertinent for adolescents and young adults (AYAs), as PTG represents a dynamic process that aligns with their developmental stages. However, the scarcity of information regarding the status and influencing factors of PTG among AYA cancers, hampers to devise suitable interventions. This review aims to summarize research progress on PTG and associated factors among AYA cancer patients and survivors.
