Dataset for "Assessing a Domain-Adaptive Deployment Workflow for Selective Audio Recording in Wildlife Acoustic Monitoring"

This repository contains data used in the paper "Assessing a Domain-Adaptive Deployment Workflow for Selective Audio Recording in Wildlife Acoustic Monitoring", presented in DCASE2025. Falklands dataset: 17 minutes of field recordings from a Gentoo penguin colony in Yorke Bay, Falkland Islands. Approximately 9.1 minutes contain identifiable penguin vocalizations. Metadata indicates wether each file has vocalizations. Recorded at 16 kHz using a custom device with a ICS-43434 microphone. Antarctica dataset: 14 minutes of field recordings of Gentoo penguin vocalizations in Ardley Island, Antarctica, of which 6.5 minutes contain penguin vocalizations. Metadata indicates wether each file has vocalizations. Recorded at 44.1 kHz using an AudioMoth. Falklands continous dataset: 12 hours of uninterrupted audio recordings collected using at Yorke Bay. Metadata indicates the intervals that contain vocalizations. Recorded at 44.1 kHz using an AudioMoth. The files in this repository are named indicating date of recording (YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS)
