Metagenomic Analysis of Human Gut Mycobiome in the Community of Segamat, Malaysia

Gut fungi plays a cruicial role in human health. But the effect of ethnicity on gut fungi is not well understood for diverse population like Malysia where people of different cultures live close together. Using advanced scientific methods, this thesis states that ethnicity has the largest influence on the variety and functioning of gut fungi in a representative Malaysian community. This influence was affected by factors like diet, hygiene, and health. The findings highlight the need for further research using advanced techniques and considering ethnicity to better understand the gut fungi's role in our health.
