Our previous study demonstrated the causative association of intestinal microbes (IM) dysbiosis and WPE. We further investigated whether Cr (VI) could affect leech IM through foodborne transmission or immersion.A total of 572,650 high-quality reads with an average of 405 bps were obtained. In total, 1878 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) from the Cr-affected W.pigra and healthy control were annotated. These OTUs belong to 20 phyla and 1878 species
