Africa energy efficiency dataset
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was prepared to support the study entitled “Data-Driven Optimization of Building Energy Performance under African Climatic Conditions.” It combines the benchmark Energy Efficiency Dataset building-design configurations with city-specific climatic indicators derived from NASA POWER data for three representative West African cities: Cotonou (Benin), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), and Nouakchott (Mauritania). The dataset is intended for research on: climate-aware cooling-demand prediction, machine learning for building energy analysis, multi-objective optimization of cooling demand and proxy construction cost, comparative early-stage design exploration in African climatic contexts. Each row represents a (building configuration, city) pair and includes: original building-design descriptors from the benchmark dataset, derived climatic features, climate-adjustment indicators, cooling-related target variables used in the study. This dataset should be interpreted as a comparative parametric research dataset and not as a direct representation of the full diversity of West African building materials, occupancy patterns, or ventilation practices.
