Artificial particles (Alginate and agarose) were incubated for different times in an In Situ Chemotaxis Assay (ISCA) at different stations during an oceanographic campaign in the Arctic Ocean (N-ARC, DY167), in the Barents Sea.The DNA of these unique artificial particles was extracted, and the nifH and 16S rRNA genes were amplified and sequenced.
