RNA-seq technology was used to acquire a comprehensive view of comparison of transcriptome profiling between grapevine latent buds and prompt buds, in the purpose of identifying the key genes and pathways related to grapevine bud dormancy, thus elucidating the molecular mechanism of grapevine bud dormancy and release and laying foundation for the modulation of sublateral shoots and the timing of bud break via genetic manipulation.
