STRO Monetary Conversion Tables

The STRO Monetary Conversion Tables (Version 1.0) provide a reusable set of monetary conversion tables developed to support research using the Sound Toll Registers Online (STRO) database. The dataset was created as part of the ThinkingSYSTEM Research Programme to improve the consistency, transparency and reproducibility of monetary value transcription when analysing historical trade records. The tables provide a documented reference for converting the monetary information recorded in the STRO source material into a structured form suitable for quantitative and comparative research.
